Why I want to meet saramarie
We are both reading “Eat, Pray, Love” and we are both posing with our Russian Blues in our photos!

Saramarie met me for coffee the morning of my last day road tripping cross the country in Portland, Oregon.
What a sweetheart! So giggly and happy and awww, I just heart her, I do! It was a wonderful start to my morning and got me all warm and happy feeling before I got in the car and hit the highway again.
Saramarie has been my e-buddy for quite some time now and I’m so happy to have finally met her! I genuinely hope I get to spend some more time hanging with her in the near future! Yay! I love internet friends!
Casey introduced me to Bina when they stopped by Portland on their way to Seattle. She’s lovely and hilarious and has a special place in her heart for a certain bear that wears a Starbucks hat and Portland hoodie. I’m so glad I got to meet her!
That’s right, y’all! I finally got to meet Miss Casey Leigh! I feel like I’ve known Casey for years, and in a way, I guess I have. We first met on 43T back in 2005. One of my favorite early memories of Casey is from this thread, where she, 99, and I had a bawdy conversation about cosmic blowjobs. (You see, this is what I love about these girls. Somehow they can turn an innocent post about wanting to publish a children’s book into talk of intergalactic sex acts!)
Casey’s been traveling on her cross-country road trip for the past week, and I was lucky enough to meet her and Bina over coffee during their final stopover before arriving in Seattle! We talked about a variety of things—the road trip, meeting folks along the way, Roy spontaneously peeing when you talk to him… all that good stuff. It was just so nice to finally meet her! I can’t wait to meet up again in the near future!
At first sight (or read, I s’pose), Saramarie looks like your ordinary artsy-ish gal: She likes taking pictures, growing flowers, cooking, and cats.
But there’s so much more to her than this (as if that’s not enough). Over the past few months that I’ve gotten to know Sara better, she never fails to impress me with how freakin funny she is. I mean, c’mon. The girl was ready to go thuggin with me, writes about her cat’s gastro-intestinal issues, and once designed a get-better picture for me.
Can a person get any cooler? No, I think not.
She’s a Leo. And she loooves the horoscope from In Style magazine. I just got mine today and since it’s the August issue, it has a special Leo profile, so I thought I’d share it:
WHAT WE LOVE: You are fun-loving, giving, gregarious, artistic and highly creative. ON THE OTHER HAND: Sometimes you try too hard to appear generous, even when you can’t afford it. STELLAR STYLE: Rather than play it safe, you use your superb sense of design and color to find unexpected yet surprisingly wearable fashions, You would rather own a limited number of exquisite pieces than a closet full of lesser duds, and you wear daring hues with confidence. LOVE PERSONALITY: Nothing makes you happier than being doted on and adored.
Catherineaq’s posts and comments always brighten my day. She’s full of warmth and humor and all around goodness!
(Yay! I’m so glad you enabled 43P so that I could add you to my 43P list.)
Saramarie is one of the sweetest people on 43T. She is also funny hilarious, and is a very talented photographer. And she’s just cool!
When we arrived at Victoria Station to meet up with 99, we didn’t see her right away. We walked around for a little while until, out of the corner of my eye, I caught a flash of red. Way down on the other end of the block was 99 in her famous red hat! Thank goodness for that hat or I might never have found her! She was also wearing an impossibly cute red polka-dotted skirt. I, on the other hand, looked like a bum. Except in England “bum” means an entirely different thing…
We had a fabulous time, full of hugs and giggles and swear words. We walked around a lot, causing poor 99’s feet to be sore (heels + cobbles = evil) so we stopped in at this shoe store and 99 bought some sensible flats (she says they’re like orthopedic shoes, but I promise, they’re cuter than that). We had Cornish pasties (not to be confused with these pasties), saw St. Paul’s Cathedral, had citron presses at a French cafe, visited the Museum of London, hit the going-out-of-business sale at Lillywhites (fruitiest name for a sporting goods store ever), wandered around Covent Garden, had dinner at a pub, sat in a park that turned out to be adjacent to Buckingham Palace, cursed at the guard in front of the palace (I know the queen heard it)... and that’s just a mere sampling of the fun we had.
99 is as witty and smart and adorable in person as she is on 43T. She had me in fits of giggles most of the day. I was so glad I was able to meet her. (And so glad to know, once and for all, that’s she’s not a middle aged balding man.)
So, dearie, when I see you next (::wink wink::), do you fancy shepherd’s pie or haggis? Or should we just forget that and go find a burger joint? Or maybe tacos?
Eeeeeee!!
